Swethal Kumar is Managing Director of ClimateTech Fund, the CEO & founder of Startupscale360 FZE and Co- founder of The Crossroads. He is an alumnus of London Business School and an Indian Chartered Accountant. Having lived in the United Arab Emirates for over 2 decades, Swethal Kumar has a vast understanding of the region.Swethal Kumar spent a major part of his careers with Mubadala Investment, one of the largest sovereign funds in the world. During his stint with Mubadala he worked with portfolio companies in sectors such as Aluminum, Aerospace Defense & ICT, Financial Services, and Health Care. In 2019, he was seconded to support setting up Hub71, an Abu Dhabi government-funded start-up ecosystem. Prior to Mubadala, he also worked in textile and IT industry for 7 years.In 2020, Swethal Kumar started called Startupscale360, a company focusing on building startup ecosystem. Startupscale360 has also been selected as the UAE National Organizer of Entrepreneurship World Cup 2022. Swethal Kumar also co-founded The Crossroads in Georgia with an aim of building a start-up ecosystem in the Caucasia region. He is very active in MENA, Central Asia, and India start-up ecosystem to foster innovation and creativity among young entrepreneurs. He has a wide understanding of mobility sector and working on launching a mobility focused VC fund, and an angel investor invested in mobility startups. He advises start-ups on scaling up the business, providing new market access and raising capital.
