George began Skroutz as a hobby project after several years of working as a freelance professional. While he always had a soft spot for hardware, his career led him to become professionally involved in software. Together with V. Dimos he co-founded and operated Forty-Two, a company that served as the backbone for the technical and programming development of Skroutz. While G. Avgoustidis, the third co-founder of Skroutz contributed to the commercial strategy and growth of the company. 20 years later, alongside the other co-founders, George has helped grow Skroutz S.A. into a company of 600+ employees, offering innovative e-commerce solutions and earning recognition for its exceptional working environment. Today, Skroutz operates the leading e-commerce platform in Greece and is actively expanding its presence across Europe. George holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. In his free time, he enjoys piloting small planes, experimenting with Arduino and 3D printing, and spending time with his two children, Apollon and Phoebus.
